Intentions

Let all your efforts be directed to something, let it keep that end in view/ It’s not activity that disturbs people, but false conceptions of things that drive them mad.

Seneca, On Tranquility of Mind, 12.5

By planning the end, you will know when to stop.
Having an end in mind is no guarantee that you’ll reach it, but not having an end in mind is a guarantee you wont.
When your efforts are not directed towards a cause or purpose, how wil you know what yo say no to and what to say yes to.

Don’t be ashamed if you fail to reach your end. Simply be proud that you tried. Everyone has a different life, no one has gone through what you have gone through. Don’t expect them to have done any better if they were in you shoes.
