What is the fruit of these teachings? Only the most beautiful and proper harvest of the truly educated - tranquility, fearlessness, and freedom. We should not trust the masses who say only the free can be educated, but rather the lovers of wisdom who say that only the educated are free.

Epictetus, Discourses, 2.1.21-23a

To be educated means to be free. Value knowledge and value the act of learning. To become freer, fear less and achieve peace. It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardner in a war, as Bruce Lee would say. Spend your time wisely, make it aid you. Don’t let it weaken you.
